Super Hero Saturday
The Clear and Simple Stamps Collection 5 release continues today with the release of several new stamp and die sets that coordinate with CSS's Rag Doll line. I remember watching all kinds of super hero cartoons on Saturday mornings when I was growing up, so it seems kind of appropriate that we're sharing some super hero themed sets on a Saturday!
My projects use the new Rag Doll: Super Hero set along with some of the new comic book style stamps and dies. I made a little thank you card by dressing up Jake from the Rag Doll Jake: Cool stamp set with the cape from the new Rag Doll: Super Hero set.
I stamped the cape directly on the white panel and colored it with Copic markers. The die cut rag doll is colored and attached to the panel with foam tape so it looks like the cape is flowing out from behind him. I stamped the thank you sentiment from the set next to the rag doll, then accented it with a line of star patterned washi tape underneath it.
To go with the thank you card, I used one of CSS’s new dies—a crayon box—to make a gift set. The box is die cut from blue cardstock and assembled with CSS’s Simple Adhesive. I added a red band around it, then added the recipient’s name, stamped on a Favor Flag die cut.
I cut a piece of white cardstock into quarters then used different Rag Dolls to make super hero coloring cards, mixing and matching different dolls with sentiments from the Comic Bursts set. The coloring cards and crayon box are tucked into a cello bag. The top’s folded closed and dressed up with a pair of Bursts die cuts attached to a small clothespin.

What a great gift! Amazing color work, too. His hair is perfect and the cape is so cute!
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of coloring cards, and that star washi tape is the perfect touch!
