Paper Smooches SPARKS January Cool Shades Challenge


Here’s my card for this week’s Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge. This week’s challenge is a Cool Shades challenge featuring navy, fuchsia, teal, and grey. So pretty!

I made a wintery card using the colors and the Chilly Chums stamp set. I colored the set’s seal image with Copic markers. When I stamped the image, I did a little masking with a sticky note to add the scarf included in the set to the image. I love the pop of the bold pink shade against the gray!

After cutting out the image, I added it to a background made from a blue panel stamped with snowflakes and a strip of chevron patterned striped paper. The seal is sitting on a little piece of ice made from some torn shimmery white cardstock.

I stamped the set's "I think you are so cool" stamp set on a pink notch-ended strip, then wrapped the strip with some blue baker's twine, securing it with a bow.  I added the strip to the card, overlapping the top of the image panel.
