Clear and Simple Stamps Favorites Release Day

Today's release day at Clear and Simple Stamps.  This month's release is full of favorites.  You'll find add-ons for some of CSS's most popular sets in the form of new stamps and new dies and a few new supply items, too.  I put together a fun mini card set using two of today's new releases--Taglines:  By the Glass and Eyelet Border dies.

I was so excited to see the new Taglines: By the Glass set.  It features scaled down versions of the different glasses found in the By the Glass and By the Glass Too sets along with some great sentiments, too.  The cards measure 3" x 3" and all feature the same layout to make assembly quick and easy.

I used the mini martini glass as my focal image.  I added just a little color to the glass with Copic markers, then set it on a contrasting solid cardstock circle with foam tape.  The circle is set on an In the Limelight cardstock strip with a decorative strip, cut with the smaller of the two Eyelet Border dies, along the bottom edge.

The "a 'tini note of thanks" sentiment is stamped around the image panel.  To get the curve just right, I set my circle die from the Shapes:  Circles set on my clear block and used that as a guide for placing my clear stamp on the block.

And, we couldn’t let today pass without acknowledging a special event. It’s Reenee’s birthday today. Reenee is one half of the amazing mother/daughter duo behind CSS. In honor of her birthday, I put together this birthday card using the new By the Glass and Border: Eyelets dies. I've wanted matching dies for the By the Glass sets since they first were released and I couldn't wait to use the dies once I had them in my hands!

I used a trendy aqua and coral color scheme inspired by the dotted patterned paper. The glass image was die cut with one of the new By the Glass dies and filled in with the matching images from the By the Glass set. I added a pair of Favor Flag die cuts as an accent before adhering the panel with the glass to the cardfront. The “cheers to you” sentiment from the By the Glass Sentiments set is stamped on a Coral Necklace cardstock strip with a light blue Eyelet Border strip slipped underneath the bottom edge of the strip to form an open scallop border. Love how easy it is to get two very different looks from this die!
