Happiness Is a Wet Puddle
Here’s my card for this week’s Retro Sketches challenge. I decided to pull out one of my favorite OuOu sets from The Cat’s Pajamas for the card. These sweet images will be retiring from TCP--once the current inventory is gone, that’s it, so if you’re a fan, be sure to pick yours up now.
I just love this little rainboot wearing fellow from the Wet Puddle set. I colored the stamped image with Copic markers and cut it out, then set it over a pair of raindrop patterned paper panels. The “happiness is a wet puddle” sentiment is stamped in the gap between the two panels.
To go with the rain and puddle theme, I accented the top panel with a pair of fluffy white felt clouds die cut with the CutUps Cloud Border die. The panel is adhered to a turquoise card base. As a finishing touch, I dotted the buttons on the boy's raincoat with silver Liquid Pearls for some texture and dimension.
Materials Used:
Wet Puddle stamp set, Neenah white cardstock, CutUps Cloud Border die (The Cat’s Pajamas); Memento Tuxedo Black and Versafine Onyx Black ink (Tsukineko); markers (Copic); Aqua Mist cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Turquoise Sea cardstock (Gina K Designs); Quite Contrary-Jack and Jill 6x6 paper pad (My Mind’s Eye); Silver Pearl Liquid Pearls (Ranger); white felt (Michaels); foam tape
