Here’s my card for this week’s
My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club sketch challenge. I went with a school theme and mixed and matched an image from a Pure Innocence stamp set with a sentiment from another set.
I stamped the book bag carrying girl from the Book in Hand set on white cardstock and colored her with Copic markers. I added a pair of cardstock strips with angled ends to the top of the panel along with a button tied with some twine. The colored image panel is matted on a gray panel, then set on an aqua panel with a strip of multicolored striped paper along the left edge. A red scallop edged strip hides the seam between the two papers.
The sentiment from the Notched Tags set is stamped in black ink just below the image panel. I combined a few of the phrases to get "you're so bright."
Materials Used:
Pure Innocence Book in Hand and Notched Tags stamp sets (My Favorite Things); white cardstock (Taylored Expressions); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko); Real Red and So Saffron cardstock (Stampin’ Up!); Aqua Mist and Smokey Shadow cardstock, medium scallop border die, Lemon Tart button (Papertrey Ink); The Good Life 6x6 patterned paper pad (Fancy Pants); natural twine (Hemptique)
