Hello Sunshine

Here’s a quick card I created for this week’s Papertrey Ink Make it Monday challenge. I tried out the repeat and lift technique that Nichole demonstrated in her video using PTI’s Wonderful Words: Hello stamp set and matching die.

I inked the “hello” stamp in pink and orange inks, then stamped it repeatedly on a white panel, offsetting the placement just a bit each time without reinking. The die cut “hello” is adhered over the stamped image with foam tape. I stamped the “sunshine” sentiment just beneath the word. The words are accented with a trio of orange enamel dots and a yellow banner strip. A piece of knotted yellow grosgrain ribbon sits at the end of the banner, finishing the visual triangle of embellishments.  I adhered the stamped panel to a pink mat, then set it on a yellow card base to complete the cheery design.

Materials Used:
Wonderful Words: Hello stamp set, Raspberry Fizz and Lemon Tart cardstock, Wonderful Words: Hello and Double Ended Banner dies, Lemon Tart grosgrain ribbon (Papertrey Ink); Memento Tangelo and Rose Bud inks (Tsukineko); enamel dots (Doodlebug Design); foam tape
