Today, we’re peeking the new Bounce Back set, which features the big-eared bunny feeling a little under the weather. I paired the bunny with this week’s Mojo Monday sketch to create a get well card.
I colored the bunny, scarf, water bottle, and thermometer with Copic markers, then used a scrap of plaid patterned paper to paper piece the blanket wrapped around the bunny’s body. I trimmed the panel to an almost square shape using the out of the box technique so that the tips of the bunny’s ears extend just beyond the border of the panel. It’s an easy way to add interest to a design.
After matting the image on a gray panel, I set it on a light blue panel over a blue dotted circle and a strip of gray grid patterned paper. Some red ribbon tied around the grid patterned panel and a trio of small banner strips, cut with the banner die from the CutUps Easy Rosette die, add a pop of color to the card. I stamped the “get well wishes” sentiment on the dotted circle in black ink, then layered the finished panel on a gray card base.
