Now that I’ve shared that important information, I have a card to share, too. It’s a wintery one using Avery Elle’s Let it Snow stamp set, now available at IHP. I wanted to create a simple card using mostly neutrals with just a pop of color. I think I managed to do just that.

All Is Calm-designed by Lori Tecler-Inking Aloud-stamps from Avery Elle
I started off by adhering torn strips of shimmery white cardstock to the bottom of a kraft panel to form a snowy base for my design. The tree image was stamped on the panel in Memento Luxe Rich Cocoa ink. The pigment ink really looks nice and rich against the kraft background. I stamped one of the set’s bird images on one of the tree branches and colored the image with Spectrum Noir markers.

The “all is calm, all is bright” sentiment is stamped underneath the branch with the bird. I used Memento Luxe Wedding Dress ink, then heat embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder so it would really stand out against the kraft background—and contrast with the softer white of the snowflakes I stamped around it using the set’s snowflake image. Once I was finished stamping, I used an ink blending tool to apply some distress ink around the edges of the panel to add a warm glow. The panel is adhered to a dark brown card base.

Materials Used:
from i {heart} papers: Avery Elle Let It Snow stamp set, Tsukineko Memento Tuxedo Black ink and Memento Luxe Rich Cocoa and Wedding Dress inks, Spectrum Noir markers (CR7, CR8, CR11, OR1)

Other: Desert Storm cardstock (Neenah); Chocolate cardstock (My Favorite Things); white embossing powder (Michaels); Tea Dye distress ink (Ranger)
