Love Bug
Here’s my card for this week’s Muse challenge. I was inspired by the use of a single die cut word along with a coordinating image.
For my card, I went with a love theme. I used letter dies to die cut the word “love” from a pink cardstock panel. I used foam tape to adhere the die cut panel over a gray card base with a piece of red gingham paper positioned on it so that the pattern would be visible through the open spaces in the letter. When I did my die cutting, I was careful to save the little interior pieces from the “o” and the “e” so that I could put them in place inside the open spaces.
To go with my word, I die cut a lady bug image using Papertrey Ink’s Tremendous Treats: Birthday. After stamping the matching image on the die cut piece and coloring it with markers, I used foam tape to position it above the text to create the "love bug" phrase.
Materials Used:
Tremendous Treats: Birthday stamp set, Sweet Blush and Smokey Shadow cardstock, Pure Poppy gingham patterned paper, Tremendous Treats: Birthday dies (Papertrey Ink); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko); markers (Copic); foam tape
