You Are One of a Kind
Here’s my card for this week’s Muse challenge. My design is actually inspired by the interior of this week’s inspiration card. It also fits the current "let it snow" challenge theme at CAS-ual Fridays.
Instead of using flowers, I used snowflakes to get across my message about being one of a kind. I filled a white panel with embossed snowflakes, courtesy of a Sizzix embossing folder. For a snowlike sparkle, I covered the panel (and most of the vanity in my downstairs bathroom . . .) with a coating of shimmer spray. I wish my late night, last minute photography did a better job of showing off the pretty sparkle!
I die cut a pretty snowflake from shiny silver paper to make my “one of a kind” flake that stands out from the rest. It’s adhered to the panel with foam tape. I highlighted it a bit more by adding a clear crystal to the flake’s center. The “you are one of a kind” sentiment from the Lil’ Inker Designs Winter Greetings set is stamped on a matching silver fishtail flag strip in black ink. It's adhered to the card extending out from underneath the silver snowflake.
Materials Used:
Winter Greetings stamp set, snowflake dies (Lil’ Inker Designs); Memento Tuxedo Black ink, Frost shimmer spray (Tsukineko); white cardstock, clear crystal (Michaels); Sterling Silver cardstock (Clear and Simple Stamps); Snowflake #6 embossing folder (Sizzix); foam tape
