This is my very first attempt at one of these cute cards in a box--and now that I've successfully finished one, it won't be my last! In fact, I may just have another one to share later as we get closer to the big release . . . I cut the box and the coordinating patterned paper mats for the box using my Silhouette electronic cutter. Without these files, there’s no way I would have attempted a card like this—I just don’t have the patience right now (maybe over the summer, things will change . . .). If you don’t have an electronic cutter, the Cutables file also includes a printable PDF so you can print the outline on cardstock, then hand cut the shapes.
After assembling the box, I went to work on dressing it up. I added the big eared bunny to the box along with the set’s “play ball” sentiment. Both of these were stamped on shapes made with the cut file that matches the set. Some sparkly silver stars cut with the CutUps 3x3 Stars die and attached to the box on acetate strips add a festive feel to the design.
Here’s what it looks like when it’s all flattened out. It’s easy to fit it in an envelope and send it off on its way.
