It's time for another Color Throwdown! Broni's our hostess this week and she's found this pretty color palette for us to try--aqua, green, purple, and red.
My simple design is based on the current layout at CAS(e) this Sketch. I used the Petals 'n Posies set and matching dies from Reverse Confetti to create a floral arrangement near the bottom of the aqua panel. The flowers are adhered to the card with foam tape for a little dimension. I stamped the "best wishes" sentiment from the Paper Crane set above the flowers in plum ink. A green cardstock strip along the left edge of the cardfront added a final pop of contrasting color.
To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post. As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine. Just be sure that the challenge colors are the dominant ones in your project. And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD329.
Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team, our February guestie, Jen Shults, and this week’s guest star stamper, Ashwini.
Materials Used:
Petals 'n Posies and Paper Crane stamp sets, Petals 'n Posies dies (Reverse Confetti); Memento Sweet Plum ink, Memento Luxe Pear Tart and Love Letter inks (IMAGINE Crafts/Tsukineko); Aquamarine ink (Avery Elle); Aqua Mist and Simply Chartreuse cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Real Red cardstock (Stampin' Up!); foam tape
