Paper Smooches SPARKS-You Light up My Life

This week's Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge is a Picture Perfect challenge based on the photo seen above (credit HERE).  I took my cues from the silvery gray stripe and the hanging elements in the photo to create this cheery design using the Perpetual Bliss and Smoocheroos sets.

You Light Up My Life card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Paper SmoochesAfter covering the cursive "love" inside of it, I inked the light bulb from the Perpetual Bliss set, then stamped the image on yellow cardstock.  I cut the image out, then used foam tape to adhere it to a white cardstock panel. To bring in the hanging element from the photo, I stretched a piece of gray twine from the top of the bulb to the top of the panel.  I stamped the "you light up my life" sentiment from the Smoocheroos set beneath the bulb, then added a trio of sparkly silver sequins around it.

To bring in the striped element from the photo, I adhered strips of silver and yellow cardstock across the bottom of the white panel.  I adhered the finished panel to a contrasting dark gray card base.

Don’t miss what the rest of the SPARKS team has created this week. Here’s where to find them:
