Warm Thoughts

Here's my card for this week's Paper Smooches SPARKS Picture Perfect challenge.  I was inspired by the photo's woodgrain pattern and the china plate.

Warm Thoughts card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Paper Smooches
My layout comes from the current sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.  I covered a bright pink card base with angled pale pink and woodgrain paper panels.  For the focal image, I stamped a cup from the Hot Concoctions set on white cardstock and colored it with Copic markers.  I used the set's solid image stamp and some kraft pigment ink to fill in the "liquid" part of the image, then adhered it to the cardfront with foam tape.  The "warm thoughts" sentiment from the Sentiment Sampler set was stamped next to the image in pink pigment ink.  I accented the mug with a trio of hearts cut with the Tiny Hearts die.  I think this little set just might be my very favorite Paper Smooches die . . .

Materials Used:
Hot Concoctions and Sentiment Sampler stamp sets, Tiny Hearts dies (Paper Smooches); Memento Tuxedo Black ink, Memento Luxe Rose Bud and Toffee Crunch inks (IMAGINE Crafts/Tsukineko); markers (Copic); Raspberry Fizz cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Pink Pirouette cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Cut and Paste "Adorbs" 6x6 paper pad (My Mind's Eye); foam tape
