TCP Tuesday 292-I Need a Day

It's time for a new TCP Tuesday challenge at The Cat's Pajamas!  Deborah is our hostess this week and she's come up with a cool color combination for us to try.  These colors are perfect for summery projects!

I Need a Day card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from The Cat's Pajamas
I paired the colors with the new In Shape stamp  set.  I colored up the hammock lounging big eared bunny with Copic markers, then set him on to a blue checkerboard patterned background with some die cut grass along the bottom.  To round out my summery scene, I added a pair of clouds cut with the new CutUps Stitched Fly die and tucked a little striped "sun" underneath them.

I matted the scene on blue cardstock, then adhered it to a lemon yellow card base on an angle.  I stamped one of the set's sentiments on a matching blue strip and adhered it to the card.  With the end of the school year fast approaching, I could totally relate to this one over the past weekend--I have so much to wrap up and nowhere near enough time to get it all done!  A few sparkly blue sequins scattered around the scene completed the design.

Be sure to stop by the TCP blog for more inspiration and for all the details on how you can play along with the challenge.  Challenge participants have a chance to win a Cat Cash prize (with a little extra thrown in if you use TCP stamps/dies) and to be named the Swanky Stamper of the month, which earns you a slot in an upcoming TCP release blog hop along with a selection of stamps from the release!  Be sure to link up your card on the TCP blog for a chance to win.
