For my take on the inspiration photo, I focused on the tropical drink and on the color scheme and paired them with
the current sketch at CAS(e) this Sketch. My focal image is one of the penguins from the
My Favorite Things Penguins in Paradise stamp set. I stamped the penguin on a matching die cut piece, then used Copic markers to color in the image. The center of the flower was dotted with a pearl pen for a bit of texture. I used foam tape to adhere the penguin to a pierced rectangle panel cut from green patterned paper.
After stamping the "cheers" sentiment on a fishtail flag strip, I added it to the panel, threading it underneath the raised penguin image. I accented the image with a pair of coordinating purple enamel dots, then matted the patterned paper panel on purple cardstock. The finished panel was adhered to a green card base.
