Color Throwdown 403-Hey Chickie
It's time for another Color Throwdown! Broni is our hostess today and she's sharing a light, sherbet-like color palette featuring peach, yellow, light pink, and white. I combined the colors with stamps from Paper Smooches and the current sketch at The Paper Players for my card.
I used the adorable birdie image from the Paper Smooches Chubby Chums set for my focal image. After coloring the bird with Copic markers and carefully cutting it out, I used foam tape to adhere it to a white pierced circle die cut. I placed the circle on a peachy (okay, more coral, but it was the best I could do!) cardstock strip set along the right side of a cheery yellow gingham patterned panel. I arranged a pair of fishtail flag strips, one yellow and one pink, so they were extending out from the panel with the bird. The "hey chickie" sentiment was stamped on the yellow strip. I accented the image with a trio of white sequins. The finished panel was adhered to a coordinating yellow card base.
To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post. As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine. Just be sure that the challenge colors are the dominant ones in your project. And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD403. If you upload your projects on social media, go ahead and use the hashtag #ctd403 and #colorthrowdown. You can find us on Instagram (and on Facebook!) with the username colorthrowdown.
Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team, our July guestie, Kim Singdahlsen, and this week's guest star stamper, Shawna Standish.
