Mojo Monday 458-Sending You Happiness

Sending You Happiness card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Mama Elephant

Happy Monday!  It's time for a new Mojo Monday sketch.  I put together a sweet card based on this week's layout.

The panda with a box full of hearts from Mama Elephant's Incoming Mail stamp set is my focal image.  I colored the image with Copic markers, then used the matching die to cut out the colored image.  It doesn't show in the photo, but I gave the hearts a bit of sparkle with some glitter from a Spectrum Noir clear Sparkle pen.  It's so pretty IRL!  After attaching the image to a light blue panel with foam tape, I stamped the "sending happiness your way" sentiment from the Happy Mail set beneath it in black ink.  I layered the image over a blue dotted panel with a contrasting solid red panel along the right side.  All of the panels were matted on navy blue for a nice pop.  The panels were adhered to a light blue cardstock panel set on a matching navy blue card base.  I added a pair of fishtail flags extending down from the top of the card base, almost touching the image panel, and a triangle-like piece along the right side of the card.  It's a good thing I kept my old photo corner punch--it was perfect for creating the triangle!  Now that I look at the card again, I probably should have replaced the triangle with an arrow of some kind . . .
