The Challenge 76-Nutty for You

The Challenge is back after a summer break!  We've decided to move all of the fun to Saturdays starting today.  In case you don't remember, The Challenge features a rotation of all of your favorite kinds of challenges throughout the month.  Here's how the lineup goes:

Week 1-sketch
Week 2-color challenge
Week 3-photo inspiration
Week 4-Christmas photo inspiration
Week 5-wild card!

Nutty for You card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Paper SmoochesSince it's the first week of the month, it's sketch challenge time.  I decided to put a fall-feeling design together using stamps from Paper Smooches.  I colored the acorn image from the Falling for You set with Copic markers, then carefully cut it out with scissors.  The background for the acorn is a piece of olive green grid patterned paper with a strip of dark brown cardstock across it.  After looping some kraft twine around a few times on top of the brown cardstock, then added the acorn over it, using foam tape for dimension.  The set's "nutty for you" sentiment was stamped to the left of the acorn with black ink.  The finished panel was adhered to a kraft card base.

Check out what the rest of the talented team at The Challenge has created based on this week's sketch.  Here's where to find them:

  1. Love it, fall is my favorite time of year. That sentiment is so fun and the acorn is fabulous.
