Mojo Monday 473-Have a Cup of Cheer

Have a Cup of Cheer card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Verve Stamps
Happy Monday!  It's time for a new Mojo Monday sketch.  I used the layout to make a holiday card in a traditional color scheme.

My focal image is the pretty poinsettia decorated cup from Verve's Coffee Helps set.  I colored it with Copic markers, then used the coordinating die from the Cup 4 All Seasons die set to cut it out.  After adhering the cup to a cream panel using foam tape, I added a bit of "steam," courtesy of a taupe pearl flourish.

I matted the panel on olive green cardstock, then adhered it to a striped patterned paper panel over a piece of cranberry cardstock.  The cranberry strip was edged with a bit of cream trim to go with the elegant look of the image.  I stamped the "have a cup of cheer" sentiment from the Holiday Treats stamp set in olive ink on a narrow cream oval and matted the panel with an olive oval. After adhering the sentiment panel to the top of the patterned paper panel, I used foam tape to adhere a pretty red poinsettia from the Coffee Helps set to the left side of the oval.  The finished panel was adhered to an olive card base.

Don't forget--since it's the first Monday of the month, it's also contest time.  A stamp set from Verve Stamps is up for grabs from the lucky contest winners, so be sure to play along.  Head on over to the Mojo Monday blog for more inspiration from the design team and to add your own take on this week's sketch!  You can also find all of the Mojo Makers at their blogs here:
