Best Year Ever

Happy New Year!  I'm kicking off the year with some new year wishes for you, courtesy of today's card. 

The layout for my card is based on the current sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.  I stretched the layout from a square to an easier to mail standard A2 size, but kept the bones of the design intact.  I used the Clear and Simple Stamps By the Glass set and coordinating dies to make a pair of glasses.  They're filled using the matching solid stamp, inked in sparkly gold ink for a festive look.  I arranged them on a white panel using foam tape, then stamped the "may this be your best year ever" sentiment from the New Year Cheer stamp set next to the glasses.  I love this sentiment for not just new year's cards, but for birthday cards, too!  I matted the panel on pearly white cardstock, then adhered it to a black card base with a shiny gold cardstock strip along the left edge.  A few sparkly silver enamel dots arranged around the glasses completed the festive design.
