Thanks a Ton

Here's my card for this week's My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge.  MFT's Die-namics dies made it super quick and easy to put together this cute thank you design.

Thanks a Ton card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from My Favorite Things
My focal image is a die cut elephant, created with a die from the Jungle Friends set.  For interest, I cut the ear from contrasting polka dotted paper and added a black enamel dot eye. I used several dies from the Blueprints 24 die set to make the pieces and panels for behind the elephant, including the stitched circle, the striped flag, the rounded rectangle, and the stitched tab.

The colors in the striped flag were the inspiration for the card's yellow panel and green card base.  With a busy striped pattern like those stripes, the yellow panel behind it was a perfect bold contrast!  I layered the yellow panel on to the green card base with a strip of gray grid patterned paper across it.  The "thanks a ton" sentiment from the Sweet Safari set was stamped on a narrow strip of gray cardstock, then adhered to the cardfront.  The round panel with the elephant was adhered on top to complete the design.

Materials Used:
Sweet Safari stamp set, Lemon Drop, Cement Gray, and Sour Apple cardstock, Fun and Frolic 6x6 paper pad, Die-namics Jungle Friends and Blueprints 24 dies (My Favorite Things); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Smokey Shadow patterned paper (Papertrey Ink); black enamel dot (Doodlebug Design); foam tape
