Color Throwdown 458-You're Awesome
It's time for another Color Throwdown! Lynn is our hostess this week with a fun color combination--red, yellow, and green.
I took my inspiration from both the apple jar in the photo and the current sketch at CAS(e) this Sketch to put together my school themed card. School is definitely on my mind lately, as students here head back to school next week and my office has been working hard to support teachers as they get ready to kick off the school year AND because I'm heading back to school myself. Yes, that's right. I'm a student, too! I started work this week on my certification to become a school administrator. It's a pretty intensive year-long program, so we'll see how I can fit stamping in along with working full time and keeping up with my classwork . . .
My card features a white on green stenciled letter panel, topped with a stitched die cut apple made with the Apple Shaker die set from Lil' Inker Designs. The sentiment is from LID's Teacher Talk set. I stamped it on a narrow kraft cardstock strip and placed it at the bottom of the green panel, tucking the end neatly underneath the die cut apple.
To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post. As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine. Just be sure that the challenge colors are the dominant ones in your project. And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD458. If you upload your projects on social media, go ahead and use the hashtag #ctd458 and #colorthrowdown. You can find us on Instagram (and on Facebook!) with the username colorthrowdown.
Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team, our August guestie Sheri Gilson, and this week's Guest Star stamper, Michele Greenwood.
