Here's my take on the inspiration photo. I went with a potted plant image for my design. My image from
Mama Elephant's Potted Pretties stamp set features a summery strawberry plant. I colored the image with Copic markers, then cut it out with the matching die. After using foam tape to adhere the image to a white circle, I matted it on a slightly larger red circle to pick up the red in the fruit.
For the background, I layered a strip of green cardstock on the bottom edge of a light gray cardstock panel. I adhered a strip of red grid patterned washi tape to the panel just above the green strip. I adhered the image on top, trimming the circle's edge so it was even with the edge of the pale gray panel. The "hello friend" sentiment from ME's Mini Messages stamp set was stamped just to the left of the image panel in black ink. The finished panel was adhered to a darker gray card base.
