Color Throwdown 466-Many Thanks

It's time for another Color Throwdown!  Lisa is our challenge hostess this week with a palette of rich earth tones-eggplant, olive, and rust.

Many Thanks card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Lawn Fawn
My fall themed card is based on the current challenge at The Paper Players.  I built my design on a deep eggplant cardstock panel.  After finding an olive patterned paper with a cream and purple plaid pattern in my paper stash, I used a fishtail flag die to create a long strip to layer on the left side the panel. For the sentiment, I used Lawn Fawn's Scripty Thanks die to cut the word "thanks" from both eggplant cardstock and craft foam.  I layered the die cut pieces for dimension, then adhered them to a cream panel.  The word "many" from the Happy Harvest stamp set was stamped just above the die cut word in purple ink.  I matted the sentiment panel on gold paper, then positioned it on the eggplant panel.  To accent the panel, I die cut a pair of leaves, one olive, and one rust, using Lawn Fawn's Stitched Leaves dies.  The leaves were adhered to the lower left corner of the sentiment panel.  I layered the panel on to a coordinating olive green card base to finish the design.

To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post.  As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine.  Just be sure that the challenge colors are the dominant ones in your project.  And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD466.  If you upload your projects on social media, go ahead and use the hashtag #ctd466 and #colorthrowdown.  You can find us on Instagram (and on Facebook!) with the username colorthrowdown.

Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team, our October guestie Michele Ferguson, and this week's Guest Star Stamper, Kapina.
