Fight Like a Girl

Fight Like a Girl card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Paper Smooches
The theme for this month's Paper Smooches challenge is pink in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  With that in mind, I used the Paper Smooches Hope set to create this encouraging design.

The background was created with a mix of pink and purple distress oxides. While the inks dried, I stamped and colored the boxing gloves from the Hope set.  After cutting them out, I used foam tape to adhere the gloves to the inked panel.  A piece of knotted gray twine was adhered behind the gloves to "hang" them.  I stamped the set's "fight like a girl" sentiment to the left of the gloves in black ink.  For a final feminine touch, I arranged a trio of sparkly silver glitter enamel dots around the gloves.  The panel was matted on silver cardstock, then adhered to a coordinating pink card base.

Materials Used:
Hope stamp set (Paper Smooches); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Wilted Violet and Worn Lipstick distress oxides (Ranger); markers (Copic); Pink Pirouette cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Recollections Silver cardstock (Michaels); gray twine (Hemptique); silver glitter enamel dots (Eyelet Outlet); foam tape
