Eye Think You're Neat
I put together this simple seasonal treat container for the current Lawn Fawnatics clever gift packaging challenge. I turned a simple small brown paper bag into a mummy that is perfect for holding a candy bar (the regular size) and a gift card.
The bag was covered with a bunch of narrow white cardstock strips. For interest, I layered them on the bag on an angle, overlapping them to cover all of the bag. I brushed on a little Tea Dye distress ink to give the strips a more aged and weathered look. For the face, I added a pair of big wiggly eyes and a grayish button with some gray twine threaded through the buttonholes. The "eye think you're neat" sentiment from Lawn Fawn's Monster Mash stamp set was stamped on a narrow green strip and placed on the bag. The bag's topper is made from green cardstock punched with the classic Martha Stewart Drippy Goo border punch. I placed the punched piece at the top of the bag, then tied a piece of grosgrain ribbon around the bag to secure it closed.
Materials Used:
Monster Mash stamp set (Lawn Fawn); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Tea Dye distress ink (Ranger); Kiwi Kiss cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Drippy Goo border punch (Martha Stewart); gray twine (Hemptique); button; paper bag; gray grosgrain ribbon; wiggly eyes
