Good Cheer Throughout the Year
Here's my card for the current Fusion challenge. I combined the sketch with elements from the inspiration photo, (color scheme, chinaware) for this seasonal design.
I knew I wanted a pretty sentiment for my focal panel and the sentiments from Verve never disappoint! The one I used here is from the Coffee Helps set. It was stamped in brown pigment ink on a cream oval. I matted the oval on red cardstock, then adhered it to a pretty striped patterned paper that features the colors from the tablescape in the inspiration photo. To accent the sentiment panel, I added a coffee mug (well, it's probably a cup of tea since it came from the tea-themed One Cup stamp set) that I colored with Copic markers and a red die cut heart. A teeny, tiny bit of a taupe pearl flourish was added to the top of the cup to look like little plumes of steam. The finished panel was adhered to a red card base to match the mat behind the sentiment panel.
Materials Used:
Coffee Helps and One Cup stamp sets, Cuppa Tea and Heart Quartet dies (Verve Stamps); Memento Tuxedo Black and Memento Luxe Rich Cocoa inks (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); markers (Copic); Riding Hood Red cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Season's Greetings 6x6 paper pad (Echo Park); taupe pearl flourish (Want2Scrap); foam tape
