It's time for another Color Throwdown! Lisa is our hostess this week with a pretty pastel colors--blush, pink, and apricot. Black, white, and a pop of color are always fun to work with! I paired the colors with the current challenge at The Paper Players for this sweet bunny themed design.
My focal image is one of the bunnies from Verve's Hip Hop Bunnies stamp set. For a change, I stamped the bunny on kraft cardstock and colored the image a bit with Prismacolor pencils. After die cutting the image using the coordinating Bunny Hop dies, I used foam tape to adhere the image to a blush cardstock circle. The set's "hopping by to say hi" sentiment was stamped just beneath the image. I adhered the image panel to a blush card base covered with a pink patterned paper panel edged with a narrow strip of apricot cardstock. I added a pair of blush and apricot fishtail flag strips to the top of the panel, then wrapped the cardfront with some twine. I topped it off with a bow to complete the card.
To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post. As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine. Just be sure that the challenge colors are the dominant ones in your project. And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD486. If you upload your projects on social media, go ahead and use the hashtag #ctd486 and #colorthrowdown. You can find us on Instagram (and on Facebuook!) with the username colorthrowdown.
Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team, our March guestie Cheiron Brandon, and this week's Guest Star Stamper, Ria van Son.
