Color Throwdown 492-I Love You a Watt

It's time for another Color Throwdown!  Barbara is our hostess this week with a pretty color palette--red, pale yellow, medium gray, and white.

I Love You a Watt card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from SugarPea Designs
I paired the colors with the Watt's Up? stamp set from SugarPea Designs for my clean and simple card.  I stamped one of the set's the light bulb images along the left side of a white panel, extending the "cord" to the top of the panel with a bit of creative stamping.  The image was colored with Copic markers, then outlined with a clear glitter pen for a glow-like look.  I may go back and add glitter to the heart at the center of the bulb... I stamped the set's "I love you a watt" sentiment to the left of the bulb in gray ink that I stamped off once to get a lighter shade.  After accenting the bulb image with a trio of red enamel dots, I adhered the finished panel to a coordinating yellow card base.

To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post.  As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine.  Just be sure that the challenge colors are the dominant ones in your project.  And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD492.  If you upload your projects on social media, go ahead and use the hashtag #ctd492 and #colorthrowdown.  You can find us on Instagram (and on Facebook!) with the username colorthrowdown.

Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team, our May guestie Rachel Avarado, and this week's Guest Star Stamper, Maja .
