Retro Hello
Here's my card for the current Fusion challenge. I paired the sketch with elements from the inspiration photo, including the fun retro telephone image and the pretty pink color.
To bring in the pink of the phone, I built my design on a pale pink card base. I covered most of the card base with a piece of patterned paper with a mix of retro images. The patterned panel was matted on a piece of coordinating red cardstock to set it off from the background. I used Lawn Fawn's Chit Chat dies to cut a pair of conversation bubbles to add to the top of the panel. I tried three, but it looked too crowded with my large sentiment. For the sentiment, I die cut craft foam and black cardstock with Lawn Fawn's Scripty Hello. After layering the two pieces, I adhered them to the patterned panel just beneath the speech bubbles. I accented the speech bubbles with a trio of black enamel dots. I tried a few other colors of dots, but they got lost in the panel's busy pattern, so black it is!
Materials Used:
Scripty Hello and Chit Chat dies (Lawn Fawn); Aqua Mist and Pale Peony cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Riding Hood Red and Basic Black cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Fabulous 6x6 paper pad (Authentique); black enamel dots (My Mind's Eye); craft foam; foam tape

Smart way to show off that pattern paper without covering it up!
