Mailable Mother's Day

Mother's Day is coming up next week, so I used the current sketch at Freshly Made Sketches to create this mailable Mother's Day design.  The simple design uses stamps from three different sets from Verve.  I inked up the floral image from the Kind Words set using cat's eye shaped ink pads so I could use lavender for the flowers and green for the stems.  The image was stamped on a cream oval, leaving space below for the words.  It's hard to see in the photo, but I dotted the center of each flower with a bit of white Liquid Pearls.  It adds the tiniest bit of dimension and shine to the image. 

I paired the "happy" from the Because of You set with the "Mother's Day" from the Wonderful Marvelous set for the sentiment.  The words were inked in a darker green ink to stand out from the flowers.  I matted the image panel on a green oval, then adhered it to a leafy green patterned panel.  The finished panel was adhered to a green card base to match the mat beneath the image.
