Sweet Birthday Wishes
Here's my card for the current challenge at Global Design Project. I CASE'd Allison's strawberry themed birthday card. While I changed up the layout, I kept the strawberry and birthday themes and classic color scheme on my version.
My strawberries are from the WPlus9 Fresh Picked stamp set. After stamping the images on the die cuts, I used foam tape to adhere them to an aqua circle. The set's "sweet birthday wishes" sentiment was stamped at the bottom of the panel in red ink. I matted the panel on a red circle, then adhered it to a red gingham patterned paper panel over a navy cardstock strip. In her card, Allison used a dotted patterned paper, but I switched it out for a gingham one--I can't resist pairing berries with gingham! The gingham panel was adhered to a red card base to complete the design.
Materials Used:
Fresh Picked stamp set, Fresh Picked dies (WPlus9); Memento Lady Bug and Pear Tart inks (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Aqua Mist cardstock, Pure Poppy patterned paper (Papertrey Ink);Night of Navy and Real Red cardstock (Stampin' Up!); circle dies (Spellbinders); foam tape
