Top It Off Birthday

The theme for this month's Where Creativity Meets C9 challenge is anything goes, so it was a good time to put some of my new Concord & 9th goodies to use!  I mixed and matched images from two birthday themed stamp sets on this bright and cheery card.

Happy Birthday card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Concord & 9th
I created a multi-layered birthday cake along the right side of a white panel using images from the new Top it Off set.  To go with the festive theme, I made a pair of gold banners using the Birthday dies and arranged them at the top of the card.  The banners were cut from both gold cardstock and craft foam, then layered for dimension before placing them on the card.  The "happy birthday" sentiment from the Happy Balloons set was stamped to the left of the cake in coral red ink.  The finished panel was adhered to an orange red card base that matches the color of the sentiment and the cake's bottom layer..

Materials Used:
Top It Off and Happy Balloons stamp sets, Birthday dies (Concord & 9th); Bubblegum and Orange Fizz inks (My Favorite Things); Coral Reef ink (Gina K Designs); Poppy Parade cardstock (Stampin' Up!); gold paper (Target); clear self-adhesive crystal (Recollections); craft foam
