You Are an Amazing Friend
Here's my card for this month's SugarPea Designs Mix It Up challenge. I combined the sketch with elements from the inspiration photo (angular elements, color scheme) to create this friendship themed design.
I used a mix of cardstock scraps and the Stitched Flags die set to cut out three different flags. The flags were arranged at the top of a light gray card base and accented with a trio of gray enamel dots. For the sentiment, I used SPD's You die to die cut the word "you" from dark gray cardstock and craft foam. I layered the pieces for dimension, then adhered them to the card base. I stamped the "you are an amazing friend" sentiment from the You stamp set on a narrow strip of yellow cardstock. The stamped strip was adhered to the cardfront, tucked beneath the die cut word.
Materials Used:
You stamp set, You and Stitched Flag dies (SugarPea Designs); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Grout Gray cardstock (My Favorite Things); Harvest Gold and True Black cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Silver cardstock (Recollections); gray enamel dots (Eyelet Outlet); craft foam
