You Donut Even Know
Here's my card for the current challenge at CAS Colours and Sketches. My birthday themed design features sweet treats from Mama Elephant's Donut Treats stamp set.
I stamped the set's donut box on kraft cardstock and used the matching die to cut out the stamped image. The donut box die cuts a slit in the image so that you can tuck an image inside, like I did here with the donut stack that I'd colored up with Copic markers. It's hard to see in the photo, but the candle flames are dotted with some yellow Stickles. It's been a while since I used Stickles on a project--and even longer since I managed not to smear the Stickles everywhere before they dried! The filled donut box was adhered to a pink striped panel using foam tape. After matting the panel on coordinating pink cardstock, I adhered it to a white cardstock panel. One of the set's birthday sentiments was stamped on a pink cardstock strip. I angled one end of the sentiment strip before adhering it to the panel using more foam tape. The finished panel was adhered to a coordinating pink card base.
Materials Used:
Donut Treats stamp set, Donut Treats dies (Mama Elephant); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); markers (Copic); Sweet Blush and Kraft cardstock, Sweet Blush patterned paper (Papertrey Ink); Yellow Stickles (Ranger); foam tape
