Color Throwdown 518-More Than Hot Cocoa and Cookies

It's time for another Color Throwdown! Lynn is our hostess this week with a color combination with a definite fall feel--slate blue, orange, brown, and white.  I paired the colors with the current Fab Friday challenge for my warm and cozy design.

I colored up the mug image and a pair of sandwich cookies from WPlus9's Cookies & Cocoa stamp set with Copic markers, then used my Scan 'n Cut machine to cut out the colored images.  They were arranged on a white panel using foam tape for dimension.  I matted the panel on blue cardstock to match the mug, then adhered it to the bottom right corner of a brown cardstock panel over a seasonal orange houndstooth patterned square that I found in my scrap pile.  The set's "I love you more than hot cocoa and cookies" sentiment was stamped at the top of the panel in white pigment ink, then heat embossed in white to stand out against the background.  I adhered the finished panel to a blue card base.
