Friends Keep Your Heart Warm

Here's my card for this month's winter/holiday themed Stock Your Stash challenge at Reverse Confetti.  I paired RC's Cool Friends stamp set with the current sketch at Sunday Stamps for this fun design.

Friends Keep Your Heart Warm card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Reverse Confetti
The snowmen images were stamped on shimmery white cardstock, then colored with Copic markers.  The cardstock's subtle shimmer gives them a snow-like look.  I cut out the colored images with the matching dies and adhered them to an Iced Aqua panel with a strip of torn shimmery white "snow" along the bottom.  The panel was matted on teal cardstock, then positioned over a rose cardstock strip that runs down the center of geometric patterned paper panel.  I had colored the snowmen a while before making this card, so I was thrilled to find this patterned paper in RC's Winter Solstice pad that coordinated with them perfectly!  The "friends keep your heart warm" sentiment from the Snow Bunnies stamp set was stamped in teal ink on an Iced Aqua banner strip cut with one of the dies from the Tag Me set.  I usually use colored card bases, but went with a crisp white one here since there's so much color going on on the rest of the card.

Materials Used:
Cool Friends and Snow Bunnies stamp sets, Rose and Iced Aqua cardstock, Winter Solstice 6x6 paper pad, Cool Friends and Tag Me dies (Reverse Confetti); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Tropical Teal ink (My Favorite Things); Taken with Teal and Shimmery White cardstock (Stampin' Up!); foam tape
