Mugs and Kisses
Here's my card for this month's Mix It Up challenge at SugarPea Designs. I paired the sketch with elements from the inspiration photo (texture from knits, color scheme) for this seasonal design.
I colored up a bunch of images from the sweet Mugs & Kisses set using Copic markers, then cut them out with the matching dies. After playing with a few image combinations and arrangements I settled on this one, then used foam tape to put the images in place on a pale gray panel cut with a die from the Heart Journal Card set. The "mugs and kisses" sentiment was stamped beneath the image in teal ink to match the mug image. I matted the panel on pale purple cardstock, then adhered it to a gray on gray striped patterned paper panel. A pair of contrasting pieced fishtail flag strips cut with a die from the Gift Tag Dies set was positioned at the top of the panel before it was adhered to a plum card base.
Materials Used:
Mugs & Kisses stamp set, Mugs & Kisses, Heart Journal Card, and Gift Tag dies (SugarPea Designs); Memento Rich Cocoa and Teal Zeal inks (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); markers (Copic); Lilac Grace and Plum Pudding cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Grout Gray cardstock (My Favorite Things); Crystal Frost 6x6 paper pad (Craft Smith); foam tape
