Friends Make the Holidays Special
Here's my clean and simple take on the current My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge. I used the snowman-filled car from the Cool Christmas set as the focal image for a simple scene. The card is built on a pale blue card base, dry embossed with a snowflake pattern. To highlight the flakes, I lightly rubbed a shimmery white ink pad over the raised design. I cut a piece of shimmery white cardstock on an angle to make the snowy ground. I adhered it to the bottom of the embossed card base, then added the colored car image on top using foam tape for dimension. I stamped the "friends make the holidays special" sentiment from the Toasty Greetings stamp set on a narrow red cardstock strip. The sentiment was adhered beneath the car, again using foam tape for dimension.
Materials Used:
Cool Christmas and Toasty Greetings stamp sets (My Favorite Things); Memento Tuxedo Black and Delicata White Shimmer inks (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); markers (Copic); Bashful Blue, Real Red, and Shimmery White cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Snowflake embossing folder (Cuttlebug); Silver Pearl Liquid Pearls (Ranger); foam tape
