Sending Smiles
Here's my card for the current challenge at Freshly Made Sketches. I paired the layout with some images from Mama Elephant that I colored a few days ago for this month's Daily Marker 30 Day Coloring Challenge.
I colored up the boy and large balloon images from the Carried Away set using Copic markers. After cutting out the colored images with the matching dies, I used foam tape to adhere them to a narrow light blue panel. I trimmed the red balloon so that it was even with the panel's edge before matting the panel on a contrasting darker blue one. The panel was adhered to a light blue card base with a strip of red cardstock along the right side. The "sending smiles" sentiment from the Up and Away set was stamped to the right of the panel in navy ink. I wanted to use one of the Carried Away set's birthday sentiments, but there just wasn't enough room...
Materials Used:
Carried Away and Up and Away stamp sets, Carried Away dies (Mama Elephant); Memento Tuxedo Black and Nautical Blue inks (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); markers (Copic); Spring Rain and Enchanted Evening cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Real Red cardstock (Stampin' Up!); foam tape
