'Tis the Season
Here's my card for the current Paper Craft Crew challenge. I used the sketch for a simple holiday design.
For the layout's small round element, I created a dimensional wreath using kraft pieces die cut with one of Reverse Confetti's Swirlies dies and a trio of red enamel dots. I adhered the wreath to the bottom of a drab green cardstock panel over a contrasting long red fishtail flag strip. The "'tis the season" sentiment from RC's Seasonal Sentiments set was stamped at the top of the panel in gold ink, then heat embossed in gold. I matted the panel on gold paper, then adhered it to a piece of patterned paper from an old Basic Grey holiday line. I tucked a piece of a taupe pearl flourish underneath the top of the wreath as an accent. I'm glad I was able to find the taupe color in my stash--it works so nicely with the card's color scheme. The finished panel was adhered to a green card base to match the sentiment panel.
Materials Used:
Seasonal Sentiments stamp set, Swirlies dies (Reverse Confetti); Delicata Golden Glitz ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Factory Green cardstock, Essential Fishtail Flag Sentiment Strips dies (My Favorite Things); Poppy Parade cardstock (Stampin' Up!); gold paper (Target); Aspen Frost-Strudel designer paper (Basic Grey); Zing Gold embossing powder (American Crafts); taupe self-adhesive pearl flourish (Want2Scrap)
