Turnabout Holiday Cheer

Here's my take on the current challenge at Global Design Project.  I used the sketch to create a wintery design using Concord & 9th's Snowflakes Turnabout stamp set.

Holiday Cheer card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Concord & 9th
I stamped the flakes four times, using a different color of ink with each rotation. The mix of blues, purple, and silver aren't a traditional holiday combination, but they look so pretty together!  And, my MISTI made stamping the flakes really easy, too.  I trimmed down the stamped panel and matted it on silver cardstock before adhering it to a coordinating pale purple card base. I cut a wide fishtail flag strip from the same purple cardstock and adhered it to the top right side of the stamped panel. For the sentiment, I stamped the "holiday cheer" sentiment from the Snow Flurry set on a light blue oval in darker blue ink.  After arranging a length of silver thread in a pile of loops at the top of the fishtail flag strip, I positioned the sentiment panel on top using foam tape for dimension.  I accented it with a silver star brad for a bit more festive sparkle.

Materials Used:
Snowflakes Turnabout and Snow Flurry stamp sets (Concord & 9th); Delicata Silvery Shimmer, Memento Summer Sky, Bahama Blue and Lulu Lavender inks (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Lilac Grace cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Bashful Blue cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Recollections Silver cardstock and snowflake brad, silver cord (Michaels); Fishtail Flag STAX dies (My Favorite Things); petite oval dies (Spellbinders); foam tape
