Merry and Bright

Here's my card for the current Fusion challenge. I combined the sketch with elements of the inspiration photo (blue moonlit and starry sky, Santa's sleigh) for this holiday themed design.

Merry and Bright card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Lawn Fawn
I started by masking parts of a watercolor paper panel with sticky notes, then used an ink blending tool and a trio of blue distress inks to created my moonlit sky.  I sprinkled some water on the inked panel to create the starry look, then removed the masks to reveal the moon and snowcovered ground.  They were coated with some clear glitter with a glitter brush pen to give them a snow-like shimmer.  I used my darkest black ink to add in Santa's sleigh from the Winter Skies stamp set and the tree line from the Snow Day stamp set, both from Lawn Fawn.  The panel was cut into four squares and matted on silver cardstock, then adhered to the blue card base.  I used blue pigment ink to stamp the "merry and bright" sentiment just beneath the array of squares.

Materials Used:
Snow Day and Winter Skies stamp sets (Lawn Fawn); Versafine Clair Nocturne and Memento Luxe Nautical Blue inks (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Faded Jeans, Broken China, and Stormy Sky distress inks (Ranger); clear Sparkle glitter brush pen (Spectrun Noir); Silver and blue cardstock (Recollections); circle punch (EK Success)
