Celebrate the Season
Here's my card for the current challenge at CAS(e) this Sketch. I went with a holiday themed design using stamps from Papertrey Ink.
I stamped one of the long snowflake border images from the retired Rustic Snowflakes set in white pigment ink along the length of a light blue cardstock panel, then heat embossed the image in white. To highlight the embossing, I gently rubbed two shades of blue distress ink over the embossed images. The panel was matted on silver cardstock then adhered to a teal card base. For the sentiment, I stamped the "celebrate the season" sentiment from the Holiday Tree stamp set in white on a teal banner strip and heat embossed the text. After folding the end for interest, I adhered it to the cardfront using foam tape for dimension. A trio of white matte enamel dots were arranged around the banner to accent the sentiment and mirror the dots scattered throughout the snowflake border image.
Materials Used:
Rustic Snowflakes and Holiday Tree stamp sets, Double-Ended Banners dies (Papertrey Ink); Memento Luxe Wedding Dress ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Broken China and Tumbled Glass distress inks (Ranger); Bashful Blue and Taken with Teal cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Silver cardstock, Snow embossing powder (Recollections); white matte enamel dots (Eyelet Outlet); foam tape
