Color Throwdown 527-Birthday Balloons

It's time for another Color Throwdown! It's my turn to be the challenge hostess this week and I'm sharing a color scheme inspired by a warm, cozy little scene--navy blue, gray, and green.

I used the colors along with the sketch from the current Sunday Stamps challenge to create a birthday card using no stamps--only dies!  The starry balloons were cut with the Balloon Builder dies from Lil' Inker Designs.  The blue and green balloons were backed with gray to fill in the star patterns.  After adhering gray twine strings to the balloons, I used foam tape to arrange them at the top of a white pierced rectangle die cut.  For the sentiment, I used Concord & 9th's Birthday dies to cut "happy birthday" from navy cardstock.  Once the letters were in place, I matted the panel on navy cardstock and placed it on a piece of green striped patterned paper with a strip of solid green cardstock on the left side.  The finished panel was adhered to a green card base matching one of the balloons and the solid green strip that runs the length of the patterned paper panel.
