Shoot for the Stars

Shoot for the Stars card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Reverse Confetti
Here's my card for the current challenge at CAS Colours and Sketches.  It took me a while to come up with an idea for the squiggly element that runs across the cardfront, but once I came up with the stars, this space themed design came together quickly.

My images are from Reverse Confetti's Moon Men stamp set.  I colored them with Copic markers and cut them out with the matching dies, then set the images aside while I created the starry background.  I used temporary adhesive to adhere the small blue panel to the card base while I stenciled on the stars using shimmery silver ink.  After I finished stenciling, I peeled off the small panel, matted it on silver cardstock, then put it back in place, this time using permanent adhesive.  The images were added to the scene using foam tape for dimension.  The "shoot for the stars" sentiment was stamped beneath the image panel in silver ink, then heat embossed in silver to finish the design.

Materials Used:
Moon Men stamp set, Navy cardstock, Moon Men dies (Reverse Confetti); Memento Tuxedo Black and Delicata Silvery Shimmer inks (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); markers (Copic); Silver cardstock (Recollections); stencil (Heidi Swapp); foam tape
