You're Awesome

You're Awesome card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Paper Smooches
February brings another Daily Marker 30 Day Coloring Challenge, so I kicked off the month by coloring up an adorable unicorn image from the Paper Smooches Spectrum stamp set with my Copic markers.  The unicorn found its way onto my card for this week's challenge at Freshly Made Sketches.

I die cut the colored image, then used foam tape to adhere it to a white panel.  A pair of silver die cut clouds add some interest to the otherwise plain background.  The set's "you're awesome" sentiment was stamped just beneath the image.  I matted it on silver cardstock, then set the panel aside to dress up the background.  I used some scraps from my scrap pile to add a trio of diagonal lines to a pale purple cardfront, trimming the edges so that they were even with the sides of the cardfront.  The matted image panel was added on top to complete the card.

Materials Used:
Spectrum stamp set, Spectrum Icons dies (Paper Smooches); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); markers (Copic); clear Sparkle glitter brush pen (Spectrum Noir); Lilac Grace and Amethyst Allure cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Pretty in Pink cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Silver cardstock (Recollections); foam tape
