You're Sweet

The current Lawn Fawnatics challenge features a color inspiration mood board.  The colors were the perfect starting point for this card I sent to my friend's preteen daughter for Valentine's Day--not too childish, but not too grown up either.

You're Sweet card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-dies from Lawn Fawn
I blended several distress inks that matched the mood board across a panel of watercolor paper.  After blending, I rubbed a shimmery gold ink pad across the panel to mimic the sparkle seen in the mood board.  It doesn't show up in the photo, but the subtle sparkle is so pretty IRL!  The panel was matted on gold paper, then adhered to a white card base.  To bring in the gray from the color palette, I die cut Lawn Fawn's You're Sweet Line Border from gray cardstock and adhered it to the bottom of the inked panel.  A pair of die cut hearts, cut with the Candy Hearts dies, were added to the end of the die cut border strip for balance.  A trio of gold glitter enamel dots completed the design.

Materials Used:
You're Sweet Line Border and Candy Hearts dies (Lawn Fawn); Delicata Golden Glitz ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Abandoned Coral, Worn Lipstick, Fired Brick, and Wilted Violet distress oxides (Ranger); Pale Peony and Winter Wisteria cardstock (Papertrey Ink); gold paper (Target); gold glitter enamel dots (Eyelet Outlet); foam tape
