It's time for another Color Throwdown! Broni is our hostess this week with a pretty mix of colors--gray, purple, lavender, and kraft.
I paired the colors with the current challenge at CAS(e) this Sketch for this simple and sweet design. I used the layout's large square panel to create a winter scene featuring a skating bunny from Hello Bluebird's Skating Party stamp set. The bunny was colored with Copic markers, then cut out with my Scan 'n Cut machine. To give the image a bit of texture, I added some flock to the bunny's cottontail. The background was made from gray paper, stamped with a trio of white snowflakes, and a wavy stitched die cut shimmery white panel serving as ice. I may go back and add a tiny clear crystal to the center of each snowflake for a bit of sparkle... The scene was matted on purple cardstock, then adhered to a soft lavender card base. The set's "have an ice day" sentiment was stamped just beneath the scene in purple ink.
To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post. As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine. Just be sure that the challenge colors are the dominant ones in your project. And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD533. If you upload your projects on social media, go ahead and use the hashtag #ctd533 and #colorthrowdown. You can find us on Instagram and on Facebook with the username colorthrowdown. Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team, March's Guest Designer, Kelly Schirmer, and this week's Guest Star Stamper, Alicia Thelin.
